Visual Art Classes (Mondays)

This Art class will cover:

• Art Perception - developing abilities to organize ideas from the environment.
• Creative expression/performance -developing the ability to express ideas in original works of art promoting imagination and innovation.
• Historical/cultural heritage - developing an understanding of art from a variety of cultures and historical periods

Topics covered throughout the semester:

• Drawing, sketching, and doodling.
• Colours theories.
• Shading techniques and dimensions.
• Mosaic relief linoleum and imprint.
• Mosaic materials and designs.
• Collage art techniques.
• Acrylic paint, oil, watercolors, ink, and mixed media.
• Clay, sculpture, and ceramic painting.
• Junk art and recycling.
• Crafts and macrame.

The class is 90 minutes long and it meets once a week. All materials are included.
